Pacific Timber Products supports and encourages environmentally responsible, socially beneficial and economically viable business practices.  Housed in the former Kropf Mill warehouse and hardware store in historic Yoder, Oregon, we’ve set the standard for reusing existing timber-industry structures while adapting our business model to the contemporary marketplace.  In addition to our common-sense standards of reducing, reusing and recycling within our business operations, we can provide our customers with LEED: Material & Resource Credit Points and FSC-certified poles, timbers and lumber.  Our custom-product fabrication makes it easy to provide proof of Chain of Custody to FSC sources.

MR Credit 2: Construction Waste Management

In longstanding efforts to divert our construction debris from disposal in landfills and incineration facilities, Pacific Timber Products recycles nearly 100% of our wood waste.  Scrap lumber is reused for smaller projects or sold and donated as firewood. All clean sawdust is captured and used by local farmers to top-dress their blueberry fields or as livestock bedding in stalls, barns and paddocks.

Pacific Timber Products has a successful history of acquiring and fabricating salvaged beams and posts as specified by customers.

Pacific Timber Products can acquire and fabricate recycled-content wood products as specified by customers.

MR Credit 5: Regional Materials

Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Pacific Timber Products specializes in procuring the finest Douglas fir, cedar, pine and oak, all of which can be harvested within 500 miles of our fabrication facility.  Within a 500-mile arc from our Yoder, Oregon location, sweeping from the San Francisco Bay area to Glacier National Park and into Canada, we can reduce the environmental impacts resulting from transportation, and garner credit points for your project.

Pacific Timber Products can provide our customers with Forest Stewardship Council certified poles, timbers and lumber in a variety of wood species from a growing number of FSC-certified foresters.  Our custom-product fabrication makes it easy to document chain of custody to FSC sources.
